"(To) strive for victory" Origin: Abnormal Trespasser | Nature: Gallant | Size: Towering Stone-faced | Grouchy | Distrusting | Protective | Intimidating Available for Transformation or Story Creator, generally strict |
Time passes faster
Than rabbits on fleet feet Bounding towards twilight |

Personality
A particularly solitary Esk, Sung-hui is rarely seen by others of her kind. She is rather stone-faced and short, and rarely chooses to speak unless spoken to. Due to the circumstances of her transformation, Sung-hui very angry and bitter, with an air of depression that seems to follow her like a dark cloud. This bitterness oftentimes reveals itself in the form of grouchiness, although she rarely means it to be taken personally.
She is generally very serious, and while she enjoys the occasional joke most of them seem ridiculously outdated or only funny to her. Many jokes go over her head, and many times those who attempt to joke with her are met with silence or with a blank stare. Sometimes she can go so still in these moments that she unnerves those around her.
She has a particular affinity for statues and can be rather protective of them, sometimes to an extreme extent. Her empathy for them runs deep, and anything seen as disrespect to one is sure to get you on her bad side.
Her soft moments are seen by few, and spoken about by fewer. She's most comfortable in her boundary, a place she protects with an iron fist, but has been known to travel occasionally -- mostly to visit those she loves.
Sung-hui is very particular on Transforming other Esk. She sees transformation as a tool of preservation rather than mercy or a blessing. Oftentimes to be transformed by her the soul in question must be an incredibly cherished object, or have 'proven' themselves to her in one way or another. She will occasionally transform humans that she feels lives have been cut short, or otherwise are cherished by others. The only exception to the above 'rules' are statues, which she has an odd kinship for. Abandoned statues or statues that she sees as being mistreated will often be transformed by her on the spot.
Design/Misc Notes
-The tags along her body have 弔意 (click through each for stroke-order) written on them and the one on her face is based off of a gangshi tag. Her red ribbons are daenggi
-Her left horn is broken off, and the edges are jagged.
-Her red pinwheel is only on her left side.
-Her body shape is similar to a lion or tiger, with large, cat-like paws.
-The moss on her body constantly seems like it's moving and shifting, but accumulates mostly on the top parts of her body. When she sits still for too long, the moss seems to spread faster, often from the top down.
-Although it often appears as only one, she has three tails. They connect towards the base of her tail, and rarely do they split.
- She has the 'size shift' mutation, so she can shift her size at will (though she very rarely shifts to be small). Her most common size is somewhere between 11-12 feet tall. She often shifts bigger to appear more intimidating to unsuspecting humans or Esk.
-Her voice is slightly lower and gravelly, with an obvious Korean accent. When she speaks it almost sounds as if three Esk are speaking at once, with a slight reverb/echo behind her words.
-Sung-hui almost never visits the Conservatory, and actively tries to avoid other Esk unless she has previous relationships with them.

Her Boundary
Sung-hui's boundary is a large property close to the foot of misty mountain peaks. Standing near the center is a large Hanok, surrounded by sprawling, decrepit stone walls. After a catastrophic event and the passage of time the once regal, giant home is a shadow of its former self. The courtyards are overgrown, and the stone walls that once protected it are crumbled and collapsing in many places. The sprawling estate has many sections, but the part most untouched is the main courtyard. Here the garden is still manicured, and in the center there's a lone podium that looks as if at one time, it may have had a statue perched upon it... Beyond the courtyard, and toward the back of the Hanok is a pond that still flourishes with life. Although the ruins have long-since abandoned by their human caretakers, Sung-hui lingers and lovingly upkeeps it. The beauty and stunning location of the ruins would surely make any commoner dream of living the high life, but the rumors of a horrible spirit's piercing gaze are much too frightening for even the most adventurous of trespassers. It's said that hearing the sound of phantom bells while visiting will leave you with a curse that will last a lifetime. The legends are successful in keeping most travelers at bay, but if you approach: beware, she's watching. |
I just wanna know one thing, that is all
If our days will be back
Say that everything will be fine, after all
I will always be here
Daikon is one of the chosen few Esk that Sung-hui has a close relationship with. While she never shows it outwardly she has a deep appreciation for him for allowing her a chance at life, even though it is not the life she wanted. He is perhaps the only Esk that she willingly allows to climb upon her. She sees him almost like a father figure.

You’re my moonlight
In the darkness I find
Flower so pure, that's frozen in time
Macintosh is Sung-hui's first creation and one of the few Esk that she is close to. She found him when she was in one of the hardest patches in her long life, and she sees him as close to a son as is possible for her. While they live oceans apart, Sung-hui takes great care in visiting him occasionally to catch up with him. Despite their closeness, she still insists on calling him by his full name.

Atop of the morning sunrise,
laying down and legs crossed
let's just stay like this,
like a warm blanket
Sung-hui and 黑 met in a chance encounter during one of Sung-hui's visits to Taipei. Something about the small Esk caught her attention, and in a very rare moment of curiosity she approached her. 黑 is one of the few Esk that Sung-hui will go out of her way to visit, but their relationship is generally kept close to her chest.
